Appeal Process for Teacher Education
If you do not currently meet the GPA requirement or the qualifying test score requirement for the MTSU Teacher Education Program, you may submit an appeal to be considered for admission. You must choose the appeal option that best fits your situation and support it with the required documentation.
Appeals are reviewed on a rolling basis, but must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the start of Residency I. Decisions are communicated via your MTSU email within 1–2 weeks of submission.

📎 Required Documentation:
- An official score report (Praxis/NES/ALTA) showing your name, test title, test date, and passing score.
- Proof of test attempt – documentation showing that you have previously taken the ACT, SAT, or Praxis Core exam (e.g., a score report).
